Downsville Covered Bridge

Bridging the gap with engineered glulam beams…

When Delaware County decided to refurbish the 173 foot span bridge in Downsville, New York, they designed a single span beam. Unalam took that as a challenge and proceeded to manufacture and deliver two of the longest engineered glulam beams.

Two cranes were used to upload the engineered glulam beams from the special trailer transport. The beams were glued together in pairs, then sawed apart lengthwise at the jobsite to their final size.
