Reports: Supervisor
Function:
-To accurately fabricate laminated wood beams from shop drawings
Education & Training:
– Able to Read, Write and effectively communicate
– Carpentry Skills
– Blueprint reading helpful
Experience:
– Working in a manufacturing environment is helpful
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
– Math skills to be able to size beams to proper widths
– Layout from shop drawings and/or sketches
– Fabricate beams and arches by cutting, routing and drilling to close tolerances
– Finish beams and arches to customer request with beam seal or stain
– Wrap product with paper and tape for protection
– Must be able to read a tape measure
– Must comply with ALL Safety Rules and Procedures
– Must follow directions either written or verbal
– Must be self- starter
– Must be flexible to cross-train and work in other departments as needed
– Good attendance
– Team player
