When the Rockwell Group was looking for a unique and spectacular addition to the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut they designed the tree of life and a series of trees to hold beaded canopies along the shopping arcade.
Unalam put the design on paper and built a full scale mockup so the owner could see the concept. These trees consisted of compound angle cuts as the trees tilted in two directions. Adding to the complexity was that branches from the trees had to meet and cross in space.
Unalam's engineering department made this design possible.
Unalam's skilled craftsmen working with their customer, MJM Studios, completed the glulam arch and glulam beam project in a manner that makes these trees the focal point of the whole Casino.
