Wood Really Does Do More For You
From our years in the wood products industry we know that wood adds warmth and character to the aesthetics of a building. At the recent Mid-Atlantic Wood Solutions Fair presented by WoodWorks, we learned about exciting research that is just beginning to quantify the positive effects wood has on building occupants. The session, Experience Wood: Empowered to Experiment was presented by David Fell, Research leader with FPInnovations.
The research related to the sensory experience with wood (seeing, touching, smelling, and hearing.) It described observations such as lowered blood pressure and heart rates in wood filled rooms. It was a very interesting presentation and I highly recommend checking it out for yourself if you have a chance. Don’t just take our word for it – wood does more for you.
