Vertical Screen, Inc. Headquarters Nears Completion

A few of our team members recently visited the new headquarters of Vertical Screen, Inc. in Warminster, PA to check on its progress. As we reported earlier, this building is made up of eleven glulam arches that span 145′ and rise 40′ high. We actually had to manufacture the arches in four pieces and then they were connected by the contractor in the field.

Because the bottom of each arch leg is exposed outside, we needed to feather treated material into the untreated material that is not exposed. The photo, above, shows how the transition looks on the inside of the building. And, this project is looking to achieve LEED certification so we had to use Forest Stewardship Council, FSC, certified lumber throughout the building.
