Unalam’s Response to COVID-19
The health of our employees, vendors, and customers is of the utmost importance to Unalam.
Unalam, like everyone else is following this situation closely. In many cases the situation is out of our control. We are having to react, as everyone else is, to government regulations and executive orders.
We have taken numerous steps to protect our employees, our vendor, and our customers. We are positioning our office staff to work from home as much as possible and our phones will still be answered during regular business hours. We are keeping our production facilities open as long as New York Sate will allow us while following CDC and OSHA COVID-19 guidelines.
Unalam began many of the necessary steps in January as a response to the regular flu season. CDC and OSHA hand washing, cough etiquette and sanitation guidelines were posted and enforced. Antibacterial wipes, disinfectants, hand sanitizers and other flu related products were distributed throughout all of our facilities.
Employees who show any sign of sickness or who have sick family members are asked to stay home until they are symptom free. Employees that have traveled out of the area or who have hosted individuals from out of the area are being asked to self-isolate to ensure they have not been exposed and will not infect others.
We are asking our vendors and customers to contact us by telephone or email rather than coming to our facilities. Our facilities are disinfected several times a day and ALL of our employees are practicing distancing and avoiding all physical contact with anyone and have been supplied with antibacterial products.
