Throwback Thursday: St. Mark’s Church Greece, NY

We once had this slogan: ‘The Beauty of Wood Is More Than Skin Deep.’ It spoke to the intrinsic value of using wood in structures, besides the fact that it looks fantastic. Seeing these photos of St. Mark’s Church reminded me of this slogan. This job combined trusses with decorative elements with very large structural glulam arches. It not only looks beautiful but the timber has provided a lasting structure (this was completed in 1993.)
