Trinity Methodist Church, Orrville, OH |
Does this look familiar? It should, it served as the inspiration for The Journey Church in St. Louis, MO that we posted about earlier this year.
We built Trinity Methodist Church in Orrville, OH in 1963. The negative space between the arches, rafters, and curved braces creates a light airy feel for a space with few windows.
This design lent itself well to the repurposing of an existing building with no windows or sources of natural light in the sanctuary space for The Journey Church. Here is a section of how our arches fit within an existing concrete and steel structured building.
