THAT’S a Saw

 Last week we showed you some unique purlins. This week we are going to show you a bit more about how we made that profile.

First, we do the shallow angled cut. This we can do with a hand held saw. 

Then we move the beams over to our track saw with our overhead lift system. 


Once the beam is marked and secured we can get to cutting! (You might want to turn your volume off for this one.)

This saw is so large that we have someone push it while a winch at the other end pulls it too. He’ll walk the saw along the track until the end!

And that’s how you take a 4″ x 11″ chunk out of a beam!
