TBT: Winter Fun in the Poconos

In the Northeast winter is in full swing, which means ski season is too! Right in the heart of the Pocono Mountains is Shawnee Mountain. The development of Shawnee Mountain came about in the mid 1970’s during the initial growth of the ski industry in the Poconos. The first few weeks the mountain was open it was free to ski as they hadn’t yet finished the cashier’s window!

While it is no longer free to ski, it is open for all kinds of outdoor winter activities. You can hit the slopes, then enjoy the natural warmth that glulam framing offers.
