TBT: Part of Americana
While traveling in the North Country of New York our sales associate stayed in a re-purposed Howard Johnson’s we built in 1965. The iconic intersecting A frame design, known as “Concept ’65”, came about in 1965 and was used at their busier locations in order to accommodate more travelers.

While the Howard Johnson’s chain is no longer, the unique buildings have been re-purposed for new and different businesses. The Plattsburgh, NY location is now a Best Western Plus and still features the indoor heated pool built by us in 1965 as one of its star attractions.
