Stapleton Library – Staten Island, NY is WoodWorks 2015 Wood Design Award “Beauty of Wood” Winner

Unalam is thrilled that a project we supplied glulam for has won the 2015 Wood Design Awards for the category of Beauty of Wood.

Congratulations go to the architect, Andrew Berman Architect, structural engineer, Gilsanz, and general contractor, Plaza Construction. We used to use the tagline, “The Beauty of Wood is More Than Skin Deep,” and this project is definitely a great example of that. We will be in Staten Island in early May, and hope to have an opportunity to see the library in person.

This is the second year in a row that a Unalam project has won a Wood Design Award. In 2014 the James and Anne Robinson Nature Center in Columbia, MD won the award for Institutional Wood Design.
