Robinson Nature Center Wins 2014 WoodWorks Wood Design Award
We had a learning-packed day at the WoodWorks Mid-Atlantic Wood Solutions Fair in DC yesterday. We enjoyed the sessions we attended and we’ll be blogging more about those later.
We were also really excited to see that a project we supplied Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC®) glulam for won a Wood Design Award. The James and Anne Robinson Nature Center in Columbia, MD won the award for Institutional Wood Design. This nature education facility is a LEED Platinum Certified building. The WoodWorks award video includes some great photos of the project, (starting at 12:58.) And, we dug up this blog post that shows one rafter when we were working on it in our plant.
Congratulations to GWWO/Architects of Baltimore, MD on the design award.
