Nominate a Project for a 2016 Wood Design Award

WoodWorks, an initiative of the Wood Products Council, just opened submissions for their 2016 Wood Design Awards. Categories include Wood in Educational Buildings, Commercial Wood Design, the Beauty of Wood, and more.


Designers, if you have a wood project to nominate, visit the WoodWorks page here. The deadline is September 30, 2015.


In both 2014 and 2015, projects that used material we supplied won awards. In 2014, the James and Anne Robinson Nature Center in Columbia, MD won for Institutional Wood Design and in 2015 the Stapleton Library on Staten Island, NY won the Beauty of Wood award. (The library is shown beginning at 11 mins 20 secs in this video.)

We can’t wait to see the great wood projects that are honored in 2016.
