Longtime Unalam Team Member to Retire After 42 Years of Service
At the end of this month, our Vice President of Sales, Phillip Holowacz, will be retiring from Unalam. Phil began with Unalam when our sales team expanded in September 1971 and moved into his current role in 1993. Over his 42 years with our company, he has helped customers realize their building dreams – whether it is one header beam or a huge equestrian center (and everything in between.) Some of the most memorable projects Phil was a part of were the domes at Union College (Schenectady, NY) and Northern Arizona University (Flagstaff, AZ), as well as the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (Bethel, NY.) And, because he has shown horses all of his life, another career highlight for Phil was meeting professional riders and being part of so many horse riding arena projects.
Phil also continues to be very active within our community, not only volunteering with the Sidney, NY Elks Lodge but serving as the President of the New York State Elks Association in 2010-2011. For the Elks he is now the co-sponsor of the South Central District.
We will miss working with Phil every day and wish him a long and happy retirement. Thank you, Phil, for being part of our team.
