Glulam from Una-Lam at the HVCC TEC-SMART Facility

Yesterday, members of the Una-Lam team attended the grand opening of the Hudson Valley Community College TEC-SMART facility in Malta, NY. This facility prominently features our glulam as a structural element of the building.

The TEC-SMART campus was created to train students on microprocessor manufacturing and a wide range of green technology including solar, wind, and geothermal energy. The building also employs these technologies for heating, cooling, lighting, and power. Above, Una-Lam’s material both allows natural light into the windows and shades them during peak daylight hours. The photo below shows the second story skylights that also light the facility.
