From Zoë’s award presentation:
This December, when Zoë won the first shopping spree the Unadilla Rotary club organized, she went shopping down the non-perishable food aisle all for the Unadilla Food Pantry. She gives a lot to the community, helping to set up an annual autumn festival and other events to raise money for the local area.
At Unalam, Zoë manages daily operations of her family’s 106-year-old, 40-plus employee, manufacturing business. Responsibilities range from marketing to safety to customer credit approval to evaluating insurance options to managing website development to sales to customer relations and more. She directed a corporate branding effort and complete redesign of www.unalam.com.
Recent president of the Unadilla Rotary club, she is now Rotary District 7170 District Governor Nominee Designate (meaning she will be District Governor in 2017-2018.) She was formerly involved with the Tri-County Young Professionals, and is the Workforce Investment Board’s Vice-Chair and Chair of their Youth Council.
Zoë met her husband, Rik, while both were studying at the University of Notre Dame. She and Rik previously lived and worked in Boston, MA and moved to Unadilla in 2005 to join Unalam.
